Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Serbia

Welcome to Serbia! Upon arrival at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade, we’ll pick you up and take you straight into the Serbian countryside. Our first stop will be a beautiful winery, where you’ll enjoy a delightful lunch followed by a charming wine tasting experience. Afterwards, we’ll drive you to your accommodation.

The total driving time from the airport to your accommodation is about 2 hours, excluding the time we’ll spend at lunch and the vineyard.

Once you arrive at the accommodation, it’s time to relax! The rest of the day is reserved for resting up and getting ready for an amazing week on horseback. You’ll be staying at this accommodation for one week, with breakfast and dinner provided daily. Dinner time is flexible and can be arranged to suit your preference.

Day 2 - The Longest Ride of the Week

First things first: coffee (and breakfast)! This will be at 8 AM each morning. Afterwards, your guide will pick you up (around 9:30 AM) and bring you to our ranch. Here you’ll meet your horse, your loyal partner for the next five days! Saddled up and ready to go, you’ll set off on your first ride: 5-7 hours in the saddle, covering around 35 km of stunning landscapes. Parts of this ride follow paved roads, giving you the chance to hop off, stretch your legs, and walk alongside your horse.

Around halfway through the journey, we’ll pause for a picnic lunch before continuing. The highlight of this day is riding past the impressive dormant volcano ‘Ostrvica’, a true landmark with spectacular views.

In the late afternoon, we return to the ranch to unsaddle the horses and give them a well-deserved rest. Afterwards, you’ll be driven back to your accommodation, where a delicious dinner awaits!

Day 3 - Meadow & Forest Trails

After breakfast, we’ll take you to the ranch to get ready for another beautiful ride. Each day consists of different routes. This day is around 20 km and takes you through lovely forests and quiet valleys.

The highlight of this day is reaching one of our favourite meadows, the perfect spot for an energizing gallop. Your guide will make sure to capture your best angle on video while you’re flying across the field!

Midway through, we’ll take a break for a picnic lunch before heading back to the ranch. In total, you’ll spend 4-6 hours in the saddle, surrounded by nothing but fresh air, the sound of hooves and wild nature.

Day 4 - Shorter Ride & Volcano Hike

This day, we’ll get ready for a shorter ride, covering around 10 km. This route takes you up the highest hill in our area, a climb with a thrilling gallop and a rewarding panorama at the top. From here, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views over the mountains and forests, before making your way back.

Back at the ranch, the horses are unsaddled and can rest while you enjoy a homemade lunch prepared by the mother of our family, a professional chef who loves to welcome guests with open arms and a table full of delicious food.

But the day doesn’t stop there! In the afternoon, we’ll take you by car to the dormant volcano. From the base, we’ll hike to the summit, a steep but quite short climb of 35-45 minutes, depending on your pace. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views, and on clear days you can even see all the way to Serbia’s capital city, Belgrade!

After the hike, we’ll drive you back to your accommodation, where dinner and a well-deserved rest await.

Day 5 - Mountain Views & Village Trails

Today’s adventure takes us on a ride of around 20 km, starting with a journey through picturesque villages before we gradually make our way into the mountains.

Before lunch, we’ll tackle a rewarding climb that brings us to a panoramic viewpoint, where the landscapes stretch endlessly. It is a perfect spot to catch your breath and take in the view. From there, we continue to a traditional hunting lodge tucked high in the hills, where a freshly prepared lunch awaits us in an authentic setting.

The afternoon brings us through quiet forest paths and serene valleys. This ride includes two big but rewarding climbs and one very steep descent. For safety, we’ll dismount here, so make sure to wear sturdy shoes!

And if the weather happens to be rainy? That descent often turns into a lighthearted adventure, with both riders and horses slowly sliding their way down. Many of our guests still recall this moment as one of the funniest moments of the trail.

Day 6 - The Grand Finale

Our final riding day is designed to be unforgettable! We’ll cover about 25 km, following old railway paths, passing through picturesque villages, and soaking up yet more breathtaking views.

Lunch will be a simple but authentic stop in front of a small store in the village of Boljkovci, a taste of everyday Serbian life. On the way back, we’ll revisit one of our favourite stretches from earlier this week, giving you the chance for one last exhilarating gallop. After all, the final sprint should be a great one!

In the evening, we’ll celebrate our last night together in style. Join us in the garden of your guide’s home for a farewell evening with live music, dinner cooked over an open fire, and a warm atmosphere under the stars. When you’re ready to rest, we’ll take you back to your accommodation.

Day 7 - Farewell

After breakfast, it’s time to say our goodbyes. We’ll bring you back to the airport, sending you home with countless memories, new friendships, and (we hope) a big smile.
