The Ride in Detail

Join us for a full-day adventure (around 5-6 hours in the saddle) as we ride toward one of the region’s most fascinating landmarks: Ostrvica, a striking, long-extinct volcano near Rudnik.

The ride takes us through a mix of quiet forest paths, rolling hills, and open meadows, offering a variety of landscapes and plenty of opportunities to enjoy both relaxed riding and some livelier canters. Along the way, you’ll notice Ostrvica gradually rising in the distance. Its dramatic, rocky peak is unlike anything else in the area and makes for a truly unique destination.

Geologically, Ostrvica is part of an ancient volcanic system, though today it’s completely inactive. Locally, it’s often referred to as a “sleeping giant,” and it has long been a place of stories and legends. Once we reach the area, we’ll pause to rest, enjoy a picnic lunch, and take in the panoramic views stretching across the Rudnik mountains.

After lunch, we begin our return journey, riding back along scenic trails that allow you to appreciate the natural beauty of central Serbia. By the time we arrive back at the ranch, you’ll not only have enjoyed a rewarding day in the saddle but also discovered one of the region’s most remarkable geological treasures.
